Accommodation

Diesenhaus-Unitours has secured a block of rooms in several hotels in Tel-Aviv, making it possible to offer reduced rates to symposium participants. In order to benefit from these rates, reservations, payments and notification of changes must be made directly with Diesenhaus-Unitours and not with the hotels.

1. Hotel rates are per night, on bed and breakfast basis.
2. Payments must be received in US dollars. Euro rates are listed for reference only.
3. Israeli participants need to add 18% VAT to these rates.

How to get to the David Intercontinental hotel EuroCarb17 Venue:
⁽¹⁾   Walk along the beautiful coastline Herbert Samuel Promenade,
       OR take a short taxi ride OR take bus #10 going south on
       Ben Yehuda Street.
⁽²⁾   Take bus #61 or #66 going to the Carmelit Terminal OR take a short
        taxi ride.      

A taxi ride from these hotels to the Symposium venue will cost approx. NIS25 ($7/~€5.5)     

• Early reservation:
  Hotels in Tel-Aviv are heavily booked for July 2013 and the number of rooms is limited. We therefore urge you to make your reservation as soon as possible. Rooms will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Official check-in/check-out times at hotels
  Check-in: Sunday-Friday - 15:00;      Saturday - 21:00 
  Check-out: 11:00
• Sharing accommodation:
  If you are reserving a room to be shared and paid for separately by two participants, please list the name of the other participant, or indicate that you wish us to find you a roommate. The secretariat will assist as much as possible, but if a roommate cannot be found, the participant will be charged for a single room.

Payment

• A deposit of one night accommodation is required with the submission of the Registration and Accommodation Form.
• The balance is due by June 1, 2013.

For those paying via credit card, the balance will be automatically charged as of June 1, 2013.
Participants paying via bank transfer are required to ensure that the balance is received by June 1, 2013.

Important: Hotel reservations and other services will only be confirmed for registered participants if full payment has been received as listed above.

  • Please ensure that the name of the Symposium and the name of the participant are stated on the  bank transfer.
  • Bank charges are the responsibility of the participant and should be paid at source in addition to the accommodation fees. Please send copy of the bank transfer.
• Commitment – Payment by Employer
1. The participant needs to complete the on-line Registration & Accommodation Form, and select “Commitment” in the “Payment Method” field.
2. Following registration, an official payment commitment or purchase order from theemployer should be sent to: 
   Diesenhaus-Unitours, or by fax stating the amount and services covered. The summary printout of the on-line Registration and Accommodation Form should be enclosed. Payment should be received following the submission of the Registration and Accommodation form.

Accommodation Cancellation Policy   

Notification of cancellation should be sent in writing only to the Symposium Secretariat:

Refund of accommodation will be made as follows:

• Cancellations received by June 5, 2013 - full refund less US$ 40 handling fees.
• Cancellations received between June 6, 2013 and June 30, 2013 – one night cancellation fee will be charged.
• Cancellations received from July 1 or non-show – no refund.
